The Metro is Prague's subway system, which I rode to and from work each day, and also to sightseeing destinations. There are three lines, the A (green), B (yellow), and C (red).

The Flora station, very close to my hotel. Taken from the platform, this isn't a particulary good photo, but it's meaningful to me, since I stood here each day of my visit. You can see the tracks down below, and the dashed line that seems to be a safety boundary.
Here's a train arriving at Flora Station. During most of the day, there's a train about every 10 minutes.
People boarding wait (barely) for those getting off before stepping onto the train. There's a little, discreet, yellow button you push to open the doors. It wasn't obvious to me, and on my first solo trip, with a pretty much empty train, I felt like the newbie I was, trying to open the door.
The escalators at some of the stations are incredible. This is the down escalator at Muzeum Station. Very steep and lightning fast. It feels very much like you are falling.
The up elevator at Müstek Station. It's so steep that when you look up, all you see is the back of the person in front of you. I kept imagining Mom (with her fear of escalators) riding these crazy versions.
The platform at Muzeum Station, which is below the National Museum, at one end of Václavské náměstí, with Müstek station at the other end. I switched trains at Muzeum every day going to and from work. This photo was taken after 11:00 PM. It would normally be much busier.
